From "Hot Tub Time Machine" to Super Chic Mountain Condo

That's right, our swanky Brian Head condo had a full size Jacuzzi hot tub in the bedroom when we bought it! And guess what?!?! They didn't include it in the property listing at all! Not even a peep. What we thought was an odd looking homemade platform bed was actually a skillfully built spa cover over the top of the unused spa. Low and behold the hot tub was revealed during the inspection when the inspector captured the underside of the spa in the photos from beneath the floor. Needless to say we were shocked but it wasn't a deal breaker because we could see past the swinging 70's (queue the disco ball and Stayin' Alive track) and visualize what we think is one of the best floor plans in our condo community. The contractor used a Sawzall to chop the beast up into smaller pieces. I am sure it took several runs down the stairs with loads of chopped up Jacuzzi.

Where there is a hot tub there must a way to get water to it, right??? Yup! There were pipes in the bathroom next to the shower. Those were equally well disguised with a wood box that looked like an elaborate yet tacky toilet paper holder. Did we happen to mention the bathroom was blue (just 4 coats of paint and voila!)? A lot of TLC went into keeping the best of what was already here and disappearing the rest. We hope you enjoy some of the before photos we shared below.
